equiX

|X| – One Theme to Rule Them All (equiX), is an open source WordPress Theme, developed to be easy to install and modify.

equiX main structure is based on a flexible design so it can be easily customized to fit your website needs. All the files you need to make your WordPress Weblog run out-of-the box are included and already styled.

Requirements

For version 1.1 the only thing you need is a working copy of WordPress equal or higher than Strayhorn 1.5 available in the WordPress website.

equiX 1.1 will work on WordPress 2.0 too, but the archives pages will output an error message due to the new role-based, users level.

Installation

The installation is pretty simple, just uncompress it into the themes directory and a folder named equix_vxx, where xx is the current version, will be created, then go to your WordPress Admin »» Presentation »» and choose the equiX theme from the list.

That’s it!

As mentioned above, all the files needed are included so there is no need to edit or modify any file. However if you want to change the header image, you can replace header.png with your custom 778×98 (px) image.

WordPress is supported by a huge online community of users and developers that will be happy to help you if you have any question, so get into the codex if you need some reference or go to the support forums to get an answer.

License

equiX is an open source WordPress Theme released under the GNU GPL License v.2, this gives you the freedom to use it for any purpose, study how it works and adapt it to your needs.

You can also redistribute copies or even improve it and release your improvements to the public, so that the whole community benefits. However, if you distribute the resulting work you should do so under the GNU General Public License as well.
